  1. Open the file. If Chrome asks, click Keep.

    Chrome double-checks every setup file it downloads. That's normal.

  2. If Windows shows a blue box, click More info, then Run anyway.

    Windows shows this for apps from new developers. A setup window opens and installs everything quietly.

  3. Sign in to Claude when it asks. That's it.

    Claude finishes the setup on its own, then tells you the one or two things only you can do, like logging into your sites.

Use it in the Claude desktop app or Claude Code, not claude.ai in a browser. The website can't reach your computer.
